Confidence is sensed when you walk in the room, and so is the lack of it

In order to succeed it takes a certain amount of confidence. Let’s think about this, before any great musician, or dancer, or doctor became the best in their field they had to place a certain of amount of confidence in themselves in order to believe they could.

3 Confidence Boosters

Go the extra mile: Take some extra time in the morning when you get dress, where you have to say to yourself before anyone else gets a chance, “You look good!” Don’t always look for validation from others to like your look, when you love it, that love radiates and people can feel your confidence in yourself and they too will love it.

Be prepared: Jennifer Lopez once noted that she is insecure when she isn’t prepared. When you aren’t prepared for your tasks you aren’t at your very best. You feel inferior to the others around you whom are more knowledgeable. You aren’t as confident as you would be if you were prepared and eventually it shows.

Fake it until you make it: You can’t prepare for every single thing or know every single thing you should know. But even if you don’t, show a little confidence in your voice, people will most likely believe you or respect you for not cracking under pressure when you didn’t know something. As the saying goes dazzle them with brilliant or bethel them with BS (Bull sh*t).

It won’t hurt to try.

“There’s two things everybody got to find out for theyselves: they got to find out about love, and they got to find out about living.” -Zora N. Hurston

Their Eyes Were Watching God star Halle Berry.

There’s two things everybody got to find out for theyselves: they got to find out about love, and they got to find out about living. Now, love is like the sea. And it’s DIFFERENT on every shore. And living…
-Their Eyes Were Watching God By Zora Neale Hurston

This quote says a whole lot by saying a little. No one can tell you how to live or love, we all have to experience those things for ourselves. It’s refreshing! Mom, dad, sister, brother, neither cousin, nor friend can live for us. The can tell you, if you let them but they cant do it for you. Ultimately you truly find out about living yourself.

At the end of the day you have to live for you. Live for you by you. And love, love hard, love good, love long, love strong, love daily, love freely, love truthfully, love faithfully, love honestly, love people, love you, love wildly, love unconditionally, love forever, love love love. Love how you know how to love. Love is the greatest gift on earth.

Salute wednesdays: Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie post-double mastectomy(removeable of BOTH breasts) surgery.

Angelina Jolie post-double mastectomy(removeable of BOTH breasts) surgery.

Here at BNS, we salute Angelina Jolie for her courage and bravery. Jolie this year went into surgery for a double mastectomy (Removable of BOTH breasts; partially or completely). After testing for a cancerous gene and watching a mother and aunt die from the disease, Jolie decided to reduce her chances. By exercising her choice to choose to take a form of precaution, and showing women there is something you can do. We all have been affected by breast cancer or cancer in general in some shape or form, and it’s great to see someone taking risk to reduce their chances. And even though Jolie may not be the first to do so with this surgery, her influence on the world is large and she touches so many other lives. We salute you Angelina Jolie.

Where’s your focus?

Whatever you do, do what you love. -BNS

Whatever you do, do what you love.
-BNS

Focus is where we chose to put most of our attention, whether it’s writing a book, acting, sports, school, rapping, singing, or number of active things. A lot of times people choose to focus on the highest level they can reach, when they are just starting out. Those people start out focusing on the successes they could reach. But when instead the focus should be on mastering your craft and doing what you love. And eventually the rest will come. Often times when people go in with the wrong focus, they don’t get the results they were looking for.For example, people pursue a rapping career just to get the advertised “rapper’s life style” of money, jewelry, women, and cars. And not joining because it’s truly what they love but they just want the successes. It’s great to aim high but whatever you do make sure your doing it for the right reasons, because that’s what matters in the long run and what helps you get longevity.
