In order to succeed it takes a certain amount of confidence. Let’s think about this, before any great musician, or dancer, or doctor became the best in their field they had to place a certain of amount of confidence in themselves in order to believe they could.
3 Confidence Boosters
Go the extra mile: Take some extra time in the morning when you get dress, where you have to say to yourself before anyone else gets a chance, “You look good!” Don’t always look for validation from others to like your look, when you love it, that love radiates and people can feel your confidence in yourself and they too will love it.
Be prepared: Jennifer Lopez once noted that she is insecure when she isn’t prepared. When you aren’t prepared for your tasks you aren’t at your very best. You feel inferior to the others around you whom are more knowledgeable. You aren’t as confident as you would be if you were prepared and eventually it shows.
Fake it until you make it: You can’t prepare for every single thing or know every single thing you should know. But even if you don’t, show a little confidence in your voice, people will most likely believe you or respect you for not cracking under pressure when you didn’t know something. As the saying goes dazzle them with brilliant or bethel them with BS (Bull sh*t).
“I don’t want to sit around and hope good things happen. I want to make them happen.” -Drew Barrymore
Too much wishing, not enough moving, don’t be foolish enough to think that anything you want will come to you. Go make it happen. Actress, film director, and producer Drew Barrymore once said, “I don’t want to sit around and hope good things happen. I want to make them happen.” Adopt Barrymore’s attitude towards life. That job isn’t going to come to you; school isn’t going to move around all your needs. YOU have to make things happen for you, or not…
The more and more you put positive thoughts in your mind, the more they become you. At BNS we are daily hitting you with positivity to begin your day with the right attitude to make things happen. It’s cognitive that we learn to filter what we allow our minds to constantly put in. Start by putting positive thoughts in daily. One method is to screen shot your favorite quotes that way you can go back and look at them, imbedding them into your mind after you seen them numerous of times.
Some days are a battle. When it’s difficult, just to get out of the bed in morning. And before you know it the rest of that day seems long and tiring. But what you have to do is, from the moment you wake up is shake (rid yourself) that feeling. Today is a day to get closer to where you want to be and just live your amazing life. Remember who and what you’re doing it for, and who’s depending on you. Wake up eager and happy to start your day.
Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “For every minute that you are angry, you lose 60 seconds of happiness.” Program yourself to think like Emerson did, when times seem tough, shake that warily feeling and find your happiness. Yes, everyone has bad days but you can choose to make it a better one by refusing to be bothered or dwell on those unpleasant days.
A remarkable story by Eric Thomas, life changing motivation is what this is. Watch it as many times as you need to. Thomas lets us know we have to want our success; no one can want it for us. Thomas being homeless to becoming a college graduates now going to get his PHD.
“To be able at any moment, to sacrifice who you are for what you will become.”-E.T
“The time you use on your cell phone, you can use to be successful, when your cell phone brings you nothing but a bill.” -E.T
“When you want to be successful as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful”. –E.T
“Pain is temporary… At the end of pain is success”-E.T
“WORK HARD, AND YOU CAN HAVE WHATEVER IT IS THAT YOU WANT!”-E.T
Angelina Jolie post-double mastectomy(removeable of BOTH breasts) surgery.
Here at BNS, we salute Angelina Jolie for her courage and bravery. Jolie this year went into surgery for a double mastectomy (Removable of BOTH breasts; partially or completely). After testing for a cancerous gene and watching a mother and aunt die from the disease, Jolie decided to reduce her chances. By exercising her choice to choose to take a form of precaution, and showing women there is something you can do. We all have been affected by breast cancer or cancer in general in some shape or form, and it’s great to see someone taking risk to reduce their chances. And even though Jolie may not be the first to do so with this surgery, her influence on the world is large and she touches so many other lives. We salute you Angelina Jolie.
